Dr. Astorre Modena
Managing Partner
Astorre has over 20 years experience in VC. Prior to co-founding Terra, he was Principal at Israel Seed Partners and was a consultant at McKinsey in Paris and Milan. A multicultural specialist, he is fluent in Italian, Hebrew, English and French. Astorre holds a PhD in physics from Imperial College UK and Post-doc from Ecole Polytechnique FR, with more than 25 scientific published papers.
Dr. Harold Wiener
Managing Partner
PhD in applied chemistry from the Hebrew University; Dr. Harold is Founding-partner at Terra VP. Beyond his strong relationship with investors, he is a biotech, chemistry and medical expert, assisting Terra’s start-ups hit their milestones. 25 years of operational experience as Co-founder and Business dev. Manager for Algatech, VP R&D and BD at Aromor Flavors and Fragrances and CTO of Misgav, the leading medical devices incubator.
Raphael brings over fifteen years of experience in venture capital investments, as an investor, attorney and investment banker. Raphael joined Terra as an early stage investor and COO at the Terralab incubator, working closely with the portfolio founders and providing them with strategic business guidance. At Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co. law firm, Raphael specialized in the formation of Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, and assisted startup companies with respect to equity investments, both in Israel and abroad. At Cukierman & Co. Investment House, Raphael managed the Agro-tech division and assisted companies with respect to cross-border fund raising, M&A and IPOs.
