Shafin Damani is the founder and Managing Partner of PuffinVC, an early-stage investment firm backing exceptional founders and emerging managers outside traditional capital centers. Founded in 2021, PuffinVC invests at pre-seed and seed and partners with first- and second-time fund managers under $50M. Shafin grew up in Atlanta and began his career at Scoutmob, where he saw firsthand how overlooked non-coastal markets were despite producing real companies and culture. He later worked at Accenture on early AI and machine learning initiatives, including work tied to DARPA. He holds degrees from Emory University and the Kellogg School of Management and is based in Brooklyn. Outside of investing, Shafin is a stand-up comedian and a lifelong student of culture, from Outkast to Waffle House.
