Erik began his PhD research at MIT studying collective intelligence, where he explored how groups of humans and machines can make better decisions together than any individual alone. Inspired by his wife’s experience in medical training, he applied this work to medicine, running large-scale experiments on how to combine the judgments of clinicians and AI systems to more accurately assess skin lesions for cancer.

Cat is the co-founder and CEO of Simple AI. She studied computer science and mathematics at MIT. Before starting Simple AI, Cat spent four years at Y Combinator, leading the software teams behind Startup School, the YC Library, and YC’s Co-Founder Matching platform.

Anna studied Computer Science and Business Management at MIT, where she served as class president for a class of over 1,300 students and organized large-scale social and community events. That experience shaped her interest in building trust, coordination, and systems that operate at scale. Before founding Nowadays, Anna was a Product Manager at Datadog, where she worked on metrics products to help teams optimize costs and build stronger relationships with customers.
