Has been investing in, advising and forming energy and environmental technology companies for thirteen years. Prior to Earthrise Capital, his background included energy technology equity research at Bank of America, private equity investment management at the General Motors pension fund, and investment banking and strategic consulting at BOVARO Partners and Vortex Energy. He received a BA in international studies from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
